WABO Tech

Terms such as AI, encryption, blockchain and RNG describe different technologies. They are not interchangeable badges of safety or proof that a particular service uses them. This guide explains what those labels can and cannot establish.

The earlier version made unreferenced claims about WABO’s biometrics, blockchain implementation and automated support. Those claims have been removed. The discussion below is about concepts, not a verified inventory of WABO systems.

Interface design is what a user can observe

A readable layout, clear labels and suitable controls affect usability. Their presence does not show how records are stored, who can access them or whether a service is authorised in a region. A design that works in one browser also does not prove compatibility with every device.

A meaningful compatibility statement names the tested browser, device and relevant behaviour. It should not be replaced with a promise of flawless performance anywhere.

Encryption has a defined job

MDN’s TLS documentation describes protection for communication between a client and server across a network. That is different from how a business stores, retains or shares the data after receiving it.

An encrypted connection is not a certification of every business claim. Claims about data handling need the relevant privacy information and evidence about the actual system.

Randomness and testing are separate concepts

An RNG is a mechanism for producing outcomes. The RNG guide explains why recent results should not be treated as a forecast of independent outcomes.

Merely writing RNG in a product description does not prove independent testing. A test claim needs the product, version, scope, testing organisation and report details. A report about one implementation should not be silently applied to another.

Automation does not guarantee correctness

Automation can carry out defined tasks, but a description of AI or a chatbot does not establish error-free decisions, response times or access to human review. Identify what task is being automated before evaluating the claim.

Similarly, a reference to blockchain does not automatically establish anonymity or a bug-free application. The Ethereum explainer separates networks, smart contracts and application claims.

Prefer a specific claim to a broad promise

Ask what was observed, what was tested, when it was tested and which system the evidence covers. Unspecified claims of cutting-edge technology, complete security or universal fairness leave those questions unanswered.

A technology explanation cannot remove financial or gambling risk. It is not a recommendation to participate. Gambling is only for eligible adults where permitted, and no one should borrow or chase losses.
